Its official, Netflix is taking over. Oh my god I love her soooo much, so proud to see of far she's come. Free stream spenser confidentiality. I finally saw this movie yesterday and I'm glad I did! Everything about it is so entertaining. The characters are fun, dynamic and full of personality. Mark Wahlberg does an excellent job in his role along with everyone else. I really enjoyed this movie. It never had a dull moment. It had action, drama, suspense, and comedy. I'd recommend this to anyone. I liked how they left the door open to a sequel. I hope Netflix makes another one. Netflix once again comes through with another great film that offers a true cinematic experience.

Netflix stepping up yo! Dropping that fire! I'm excited for this.
First off, the soundtrack/incidental music really annoyed me, lots of cheesy prog rock and guitar solos, then the odd gem of a track dropped in that bamboozled me.
Secondly, the background of the story and characters was so way out of the park that you kind of know this could never really happen, far too many lucky coincidences and knowing the right people so you stop believing the story.
BUT. I enjoyed it, this is Mark being Mark, the hero. Kevin Costner Mk 2 without the cinematic panache.
Watch it, enjoy it, and move on. There's no real message or point in lingering. We already know that in the real world most of the bad guys get away with it and win. It's a 1 hour 30 minute fantasy that lets us think they don't, that's all.

Easy to watch, easy on the eye and brain. I quite liked it and only made this review because it was getting slammed when its just a half-decent movie to kill an hour or so. If you want an intellectual awe inspiring story then don't watch it. For me it's a good run of the mill film and I'd definitely watch a sequal. It should really be made into a series rather than a full length movie I believe - just like the original Spenser.
A must see. I hope the movie is as hype as the trailer. 👀 on Netflix for March.
